Light Painting Ibiza
Light painting is not Photoshop or AI—it’s a photography technique that has existed since the dawn of the medium. By using a long shutter speed, it captures the movement of light in real-time. Even Picasso experimented with "light drawings," using a simple flashlight in a dark room to create ephemeral shapes. Today, the art of light painting has evolved with innovative tools, offering endless creative possibilities.
To create these photographs, I work in a dark environment after sunset. My camera is mounted on a tripod with a long exposure—typically 1 to 2 seconds. While my model holds a steady pose, I move behind them, painting with an illuminated tube, the light traces a mesmerizing, ethereal glow around them. The results are nothing short of magical—and an absolute joy to create!
