Let’s get to know each other…
My name is Tasya and I am a creative, a dancer and a passionate human being. I was born in Russia, grew up in Chicago, and now I reside on the magical island of Ibiza. I have traveled to many corners of the globe including Tulum which was my base for a while, but my heart has landed in the Mediterranean. I love exploring the sunny hills and aquamarine sea of Ibiza. There is nothing like the smell of the pine trees here in summer, and the taste of the fresh figs straight from the trees. I first came to the island in 2013 as an electronic music scene journalist and photographer. I am honored to say I have worked with some of the best djs in the world and I still enjoy doing their press shots.
Love & Intimacy is what I want to focus on now, in my personal life and in my work. My one-to-one photo sessions aim to bring out the essence of the person I am working with, covered in the golden light Ibiza has to offer. The experience is fun and playful and free of everyday stresses. We enter into a creative vortex and enjoy the ride. That is what I hope my clients get out of it, it's more than just a photoshoot, it's a safe place to let go and be creative, and be yourself. Let your personality shine through.
I am an expert at photographing events as I have done it for many years in discotheques and out. Weddings especially have taught me a lot: about timing, how to direct people, and how to tell a story with still photographs. I love telling love-stories, I guess I am a hopeless romantic in that sense. For me, to be present in the most intimate moments of a couple and capturing it is an honor, and I treat it as a privilege. Family photoshoots as well bring me a lot of happiness. To see the sweetness and care that the family members have for each other is endearing.
And this now bring me to my favorite quote by Friedrich Nietzsche:
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
If this resonates with you then you are my kind of human being. Let's dance to the end of time!
My pillars of life are to live in authenticity, stay true to my virtues, and spread Love.
I was a ballroom dancer for many years and now I enjoy practicing and teaching Argentine Tango.
I love buying flowers for myself at the shop around the corner where Carmen, the shopkeeper creates beautiful natural bouquets with roses that smell divine.
My father, who is also a photographer, is my biggest inspiration and my hero. He also gifted me my first ever camera which was a Nikon.
My friends will probably tell you that I am crazy for Swiss chocolate and pistachio gelato.
